Devon G. Buffett Amphitheater

Photography by Samantha Lynn Photography

The Devon G. Buffett Amphitheater is owned and operated by the Decatur Park District and was made possible by a generous donation from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.

The venue’s name is in honor of Howard G. Buffett’s wife, Devon, and is referred to as the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater. Construction began in 2018, and the venue opened on May 24, 2019.

The venue sits along the shore of Lake Decatur as part of Lakeshore Landing nestled inside the Historic Nelson Park. With a capacity of over 3,000, the venue offers views of the lake from nearly every seat or viewing area.

The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater’s season usually operates May through September — offering a wide range of entertainment. The goal is to offer something for everyone with a line-up that features music of many genres, comedians, big bands, movie nights, family themed entertainment and more.
